The great San Diego Beaches
Anyone seeking to invest in one of the beachfront communities contained within greater San Diego will have a number of options available to them, because there are some truly spectacular beaches in this region. Mission Beach is one of the most iconic beachfront areas in all of San Diego, and its central location makes it easily accessible to everyone. It has a busy boardwalk frequented by pedestrians, skateboarders, and cyclists, and it also has the Giant Dipper roller coaster for area thrill-seekers. Whether you want to relax on the beach, stroll down the boardwalk, shop in area boutiques, or surf the waves, you’ll find it all here at Mission Beach.
Pacific Beach has a number of distinctive restaurants, but they aren’t the only appeals about the area. A great many visitors and locals enjoy surfing, picnicking, jogging, biking, fishing, skating, photographing, and just enjoying time spent along the shoreline. One of the best-known surfing areas is Tourmaline Surfing Park, which is a surfing-only beach where a number of novices can learn the art of surfing, and where more experienced surfers can find challenging waves as well.
La Jolla is another of the prime San Diego beaches, and it has a great deal to offer in the way of scuba diving, kayaking, snorkeling, surfing, or even playing a round of golf. There are all kinds of shops and businesses where beach gear can be rented or purchased, and a number of fantastic restaurants of all types. The nearby Torrey Pines Golf Course offers amazing views of the Pacific Ocean, and it hosts a PGA professional golf tournament every year. If you’re a marine enthusiast, you could even take a swim with the leopard sharks, which are harmless and which are born in the shallow waters off the coast.
Probably the most family-friendly beach in the entire San Diego area is Del Mar Beach, and one of the reasons for this is that it has a canine-friendly area known as Dog Beach. Every day here, you’ll find a number of volleyball games in progress, along with all kinds of walkers and joggers along the shoreline. Nearby, you’ll also be able to enjoy a satisfying upscale shopping experience, especially for those who have gourmet tastes in food and fashion. There are a number of unique galleries, with all kinds of sculptures, fountains, and terraces. If you want to enjoy a really terrific dining experience, you can drop in at San Diego’s only AAA five diamond restaurant, which is The Addison.
As far as our beaches go, we have a decent amount. Dollar for dollar, landlords of income property do well in all beach areas of San Diego County. Stretching from north IB to Encinitas/ Carlsbad area, there are a bunch to choose from. The most visited are probably Pacific Beach and La Jolla Shores since they usually are stuffed from grain-to-grain. But being a surfer town primarily, people will pick and choose where they want to go based on the weather and crowds. La Jolla’s Cove is world famous for its sea lion population and caves, Windansea brings all surfers in after work, Marine Street is a hidden beach in Southern La Jolla that most do not know about and it truly is a hidden gem. We may not have water as blue as the Caribbean but for the most part our beaches are clean and safe, and, of course, beautiful.
